Here's the LINK to the main page for the con. I know we have a solid group of Tix fans in this general area...and they have had tix tourneys the past couple years. I'm going to pencil this one in for myself as well, and will keep this in mind in regards to TixCon planning as well.

I'm very delighted to see it will finally be held within a feasible driving distance next year. Hopefully I can make this my first ever BotCon trip.

Have someone sign me up for the "Press" as I live 15-20 minutes from the site. You big cheapskate! ;D Actually, I'm lifelong friends with one of the guys who helps put it together, so I'll get in for free sans the fancy PRESS pass though. Looking forward to going - should be a lot of fun!

Finally! I've been hoping for a relatively nearby BC! I can't wait to get my shiny black base handed to me! And maybe score an exclusive figure at 400% of it's cost!

Well, is there going to be an ATTACKTIX event here? I will definately be there to school all of you amateurs (;D ROFL). My problem is that there is NO WAY I am paying more than 5-10$. It does happen that my Quarterly Bonus comes in just before that, but I really can't stomach paying to see people dress up like cardboard-bots. Or flamboyant hats.
So, PRESS PASS! (Or Chris, hookabrotha up!)

Man, I hear ya! I hate paying out to play. But, Cincy is lots closer to home. So if this is where it's gonna be, I'll be there. ;D

It does happen that my Quarterly Bonus comes in just before that, but I really can't stomach paying to see people dress up like cardboard-bots. Hey! Some people around here may take offense to that remark! Besides, mine was cardboard and duct tape! ;D Anyways, to give everyone an idea on costs, I found the admission prices from this summer's BotCon. Saturday, June 30 2007 9:00 AM Early Bird $50 10:00 AM General Admission Adults $10, Children 5-12 $5, Under 5 Free 5:00 PM Show Closes!
Sunday, July 1, 2007 9:30 AM General Admission Adults $10, Children 5-12 $5, Under 5 Free 3:30 PM Show Closes!Hope that helps!

Uhh...looks like I'm not going...hopefully they have more people there, cause last time there were so much T6-10 figures even the 1st ones knocked out won a figure That's a welcome change from the 2006 BotCon tournament in which there was no prize for winning initially until Joe contacted Hasbro and got YB a set of T6-T10. Although YB did win the "ultimate" team off the Hasbro guy (who never lost in his life he said) later in the funniest match in Attacktix history.

Let's not forget the after-interview!
P: "So, Yodabreaker, how bad did you beat the Hasbro man who had never been defeated? Was it a crushing blow to his ego, where he will likely go home and weep for days?" YB: "Yeah, that about sums it up"
LOL

I wonder if "Rudimus Prime" will return in 2008... At first, I had no idea who you were talking about, so I had to do some research to refresh my memory. Anyone else that doesn't know the tale of "Rudimus Prime", go here: YodaBreaker schools kid at Botcon

Heh - I think the hope would be that the schooling would have taken, and that he'd learned his lesson Personality is malleable, after all.
