Here is a topic where you can talk about all things Star Wars Miniatures! I got my first figures last Thursday. I got the Revenge of The Sith Starter. Which starter did you first get?

Yahoo! I'm resurrecting a dead thread! ;D
I finally broke down after nearly four years of resisting these things, and bought an Alliance & Empire booster. Here's what I got:
#10: Ithorian Commander #20: Rebel Pilot #30: Imperial Officer #33: Storm Commando #34: Stormtrooper #50: Nikto Soldier #53: Snivvian Fringer

I know I got some of these to expand the Board Game Star Wars Epic Duels. I've played the game itself, but don't find it nearly as fun as Duels. The figures are quite nice though.
I believe a couple people posted trading threads with these in the non-attacktix trading area. These are definitely the way to go if you want to make a huge battle scene. You won't have to add onto the house like you would with the original Unleashed figures or other sets.

Rules can be found here: www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=starwars/rulesLike I mentioned in the post above I got a bunch of these to expand the StarWars Epic Duels game with more characters (brilliant game, loads of fun). The Mrs. and I played the proper mini game rules a couple of times but just didn't like it as well as others, which is not to say it isn't a good game, just that we like others better.

Never have had the chance to play epic duels yet. Looks like a ton of fun...one of the same guys that did HeroScape.

Epic Duels is an absolute riot. I love that game.

To follow GE and ID, Epic Duels is perhaps my absolute favorite board game of all time and up there in my top five favorite games (card, figure, video, board, sports, or any other type of "game" I'm forgetting) of all time. The prices on Ebay have dropped dramatically to the point where you can get a new copy for $50 instead of the standard $80. The game is totally worth it, though.
If I didn't know TixCon would be jampacked with Tix awesomeness with next to no downtime, I'd bring it along. Great, great game.

Yes indeed. Very little can compare to having two of the boards together and having 6-10 people have at with Epic Duels in a Star Wars battle Royale. A fun game of strategy, negotiation and chance. If anyone is into it, I have made a variety of customs for adding new characters (with SW Minis) that are a perfect match for the ones originally included. Do tell if it is of interest.

TELL, TELL, TELL, TELL! Is that enough to show my interest? ;D Posted by grievous on Today at 5:09pm If I didn't know TixCon would be jampacked with Tix awesomeness with next to no downtime, I'd bring it along. Great, great game. |
Not sure how many other times we will ever have to get together to play, so in my opinion let's get it on!

TELL, TELL, TELL, TELL! Is that enough to show my interest? ;D Not to steal any of IDs thunder (which, by the way, I'm interested in his cards as well)... I have customs too! Let's see, first is my completely unfinished Marvel Duels set that used the Marvel Heroscape figures. Only one of these characters made it into playtesting, which was the Hulk, but I've always meant to go back to it. Another bit of note is the ED wiki which is full of awesomeness. The Captain Fordo deck is mine and was considered good enough to get into a fan expansion . Alright, alright. I'll bring it and keep it in my family's car. If I see any large amount of downtime, I'll happily go and dig it out. I'll also have a pair of Vs. System decks in my back pocket for anyone who wants to give that a shot. I doubt there'll be time since last year's TixCon was insane but I'll be prepared just in case. No Obi-Wan, though. He's so borked...

Thunder...stolen...feeling weak... j/k Yes, there is no question the Yahoo group and other have made a variety of nice custom decks, the main difference with the stuff I did was the graphic quality of it. I'm sure a bunch of those are quite nice too. The first complete one was General Grievous and Magna Guards, that I included with two eBay auctions with some spare ED games that sold for for a pretty penny. I'd need to dig around to find them, but I put together a couple, including some more Jedis, Ackbar and Wedge, and even Omega Supreme for the Transformers Version of the game.
