I've pretty much ignored him until now, having bought only one S3 booster (Sandtrooper, Jawa Warlord, Rebel Trooper) but looking at his specs, how does Greedo make any sense?. He's like all the generic medium base large missiles that I love to use (Clone Commander, Bossk, etc.) , except two tix faster and 10 points LESS?! (plus he has a solid special with not too bad of a chance of activating)
I'm sure this has been addressed, but why would Hasbro do this? The possibility of a five Greedo squad renders nearly every other big missile shooter obsolete. As someone who can't stand multiples of same character figures on a team (not including clones, stormtroopers, etc), I would like to see if anyone else is extremely annoyed with Greedo's existence.

Series 3 brought about the first 20-point medium missile launchers (Wedge and Capt. Antilles also being the same). What's really going to annoy you is that in Series 4, there was a starter set in which there was a 10 point Greedo, same mold, with medium missile as well, so you could have a 10 figure team with 10 10-pt Greedos.
It really does make clone troopers, battle droids, etc., very difficult to use in competetive play.

Even Electro with his medium missile is a terror for 10 points, but add Greedos Medium base and...well, it's a good reason to buy a couple of starters.

A tourney win could be d*mn near secured if someone is willing to cough up a ton of money for it... And that, IMO, ruins the entire game.

In tournament play, launchers are but mere support for strikers. I'd gladly play a team of all Greedos vs. 8 Wickets and 2 R2-Q5s, for instance Also, that's the rationale for the Rule of Five - no more than five figures of any given collector's number in a game.

Thanks YB... And whoever made the rules. The world of Attacktix has been saved.

You can thank webhead for that particular one - he codified it at TixCon 2007, though variations of it had been kicked about in different events. The addenda to the Rule of Five are the Golden Rule of One and the Silver Rule of One: only one copy of any gold-based figure, and only one tournament-prize figure on any team. Of those, only the Silver Rule of One was promulgated by the 'bro.

I thought the "only one copy of any gold-based figure" came from Hasbro as well. After a couple of tournaments with multiple Gold Ki-Adi Mundi's. I thought they saw the problem and came down on that.

If Brett counts as "from Hasbro", then yep Otherwise, their tournament rules haven't really been updated since SW S1, so they haven't widely promulgated any official change like the Golden Rule of One.
